About this project
Janie and Kristina were looking for a brand identity that would bring their wedding planning idea to life. They needed it to be modern, packed full of personality and tailored to suit creative gents and ladies between 25 and 60 years old, who weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty when it came to planning their wedding.

As a result, the About Love brand identity needed to be bright, punchy, full of character, and clearly distinguishable as a wedding planning brand - without succumbing to any traditional wedding planning brand stereotypes. In fact, the About Love team were so fed up with a market flooded with pastels and flowers, they knew their new brand needed the confidence and appeal to turn the wedding industry on its head.

After some collaborative back-and-forth, we were all excited to land on the final visual identity of the brand: the perfect mix of classy, cheerful and punchy, whilst appealing to both genders. Illustrations seamlessly blend into photos, giving us the option to either combine photos and illustrations for digital use, or just stick to illustrations for print use. We even created some patterns that could add texture and fun to things such as emailer headers or wrapping paper.
About Love now has an ever-evolving brand book, and a defined visual identity it can be proud of.

Highlight?
The process, for sure. We experimented with a load of different illustration styles, logos and tried a few different looks and feels. We were all on the same page throughout the entire process, and I got such a buzz out of materialising their vision for the brand. I can happily say this has been one of my favourite projects to date!
